Viva Mission!

This weekend Rachel, Jane and I drove down to Mission, TX to help David build his second annual float for the Texas Citrus Fiesta parade. This year he is doing a train theme. It's a huge undertaking. David and his brother did a lot of contraction to make the train skeleton and Rachel, Jane and I will do most of the decorating. First though, we had to suit up. Coverall are so bad ass!

These are the wheels we made. We died deer corn and glued them to the pegboard wheels. They will actually spin when they are on the float.

We all got super gluey. I still have some red glue stuck on my arm.

Rachel also made a map that turned out super cute.

Here is the train while the roof was being put on.

The boys try to figure out how to make the train puff out smoke.

It was a super fun weekend. I can't wait to go back for the actual parade.

Check out David's blog to see more.
